What is the Pennsylvania unemployment contact number?

Short answer

Call the UC Service Center at 888-313-7284 with UC and general questions, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern. To file a weekly claim by phone, the automated PA Teleclaims line at 888-255-4728 answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry (L&I) takes unemployment compensation (UC) claims by phone or online at the UC benefits site, and it offers in-person help by appointment. The PA CareerLink offices listed at the end of this page help with finding work.

To write instead of calling, send a secure message to UCHelp@pa.gov with a general question, or to tell staff about documents you uploaded to your claimant dashboard; L&I says a reply comes within 24 hours. PAULA, UC's chatbot, answers common questions such as how to file or what the work search requires, and it can pass you to a live agent, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Employers with a question about a claim call the UC Employer Resource Center at 833-728-2367, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Booking an in-person UC appointment

Call the UC In-Person Scheduling and Log In support line at 1-855-284-8545, and have your name, phone number, and email address ready. A text or email reminder comes a few days before your appointment.
